Storage, Cloud, and Data Protection Technologist

I work at Pure Storage where I'm the Director, Principal Technologist in the Office of the CTO. Prior to that my career focused mostly on data storage and protection technologies. I first moved to Seattle to work for Microsoft where most of my time was spent managing very large SAN systems. This led to a career as a Systems Engineer for both startup and enterprise size storage vendors.

In addition to IT architecture, I enjoy a variety of geeky hobbies including tabletop gaming, ham radio, golf, and fermenting all sorts of things from beer to kimchi.

I also volunteer with PTA where I currently support special projects for the Shoreline School District.
