For a while now jdwallace.com was just a landing page with links to my LinkedIn and Twitter profiles. With everyone social distancing and with all of my travel cancelled I suddenly find myself with a little extra time and what better way to put it to use than to fire back up the blog.
I've never really been satisfied with the platforms I've used in the past so I went looking something new to create a fresh start. I don't consider myself a great graphic designer, so I wanted a platform that was simple to use and looked clean and modern right out of the box. Eventually I settled on Wix and now with a few hours experience I'm optimistic it's going to work out just fine.
While my previous blogs have focused more on my personal life my intent with this new experiment is to share some of my professional experience with the community. Having worked in IT for 20 years, 12 of those as an end user and 8 as a Systems Engineer I've learned so much from the tech community. Now I hope to be able to give a little back.
